All roles

Refine Studio designs products for founders building the next generation of agentic and decentralised applications. The teams we design for have driven more than $80B in user volume. They come to us when a serious idea deserves a product people actually want to use.

A product's interface is the first thing an investor or a user judges, and it signals how serious the team is before they read a word. We design to move conversion, earn trust, and win the next raise, not to ship a nicer mockup. The founders we work with come back because we understand the product, not just the pixels.

As a Senior Product Designer, you own that work. You hold the product from the first founder call to launch, your name is on the result, and you set the bar the rest of the team works to.

About the role

This is not a support role. When the direction is unclear, you create it. When a client is wrong, you push back with evidence, not opinion. You are the designer the founder trusts.

You work directly with the founder, with no account manager in between, and you own the product end to end. You are the reason it does not just look good, it works the way it should, which is the part people actually feel.

What you'll do

  • Own the design and creative direction on your accounts, end to end, with no hand-offs.
  • Work across the full range: brand, design systems, product flows, and prototypes.
  • Turn vague founder goals into clear direction, fast.
  • Research before you design. Benchmark the best in the category, not your last version.
  • Prototype your ideas, not just mock them up, so a decision can be felt before it ships.
  • Present and defend the work to founders yourself.
  • Hold the bar on everything that ships under your name, including other designers' work.

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years designing and shipping real products, with at least one you owned end to end.
  • A portfolio that shows judgment and decisions, not a wall of dribbble shots.
  • A real UX point of view. You design the original solution and defend it with evidence, a benchmark or a principle, instead of cloning the nearest competitor.
  • A deep command of the fundamentals. Spacing, typography, hierarchy, and design systems are second nature, and the small inconsistencies most people miss are the ones you cannot leave alone.
  • Figma mastery: clean naming, framing, auto layout, and component systems built to be reused from day one, not patched in later.
  • Conviction. You raise the uncomfortable question, push the idea no one asked for, and make the case for it.
  • You prototype to think. On paper, in Figma, in motion, whatever gets the idea right fastest.
  • You can take a tangle of constraints and conflicting feedback and come out with one clear answer.
  • You write and speak clearly. Most of our work is remote and async.

Compensation

We pay a competitive market rate, and share the full band before we move forward with an interview. There is also an opportunity for equity after 12 months.
